In order to further our commitment to inspiring our local community in STEM, the Fremont High Firebots helped start two First Lego League (FLL) teams this year, the Jr. Firebots and the Icebots. Each FLL team is comprised of 5 students from neighboring Cupertino Middle School, and each team receives dedicated training and mentorship from Team 3501 high school students and Team 3501 adult mentors.
In 2015, the Icebots advanced to the State Championships.
They also won the core value award. In 2016, the Icebots won a project award at States and the Jr. Firebots won the Core Values Award at the regional competition.

FLL encourages children to design, construct, and program their own intelligent inventions. This allows them not only to understand technology, but to become masters of it.Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, FLL Co-Founder
